1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Grove mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Grove is an AI-powered fitness and nutrition tracking application that provides:

  • Food logging through photo recognition and manual entry
  • Macro and calorie tracking
  • Workout and exercise logging
  • AI-powered coaching and recommendations
  • Progress tracking and analytics
  • Social features including accountability partners
  • Gamification elements including achievements and streaks

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep this information updated.

4. Health and Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Grove is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. The App provides general fitness and nutrition information for educational purposes only.

Before starting any new diet or exercise program, consult with a qualified healthcare professional. The AI-generated recommendations and nutritional information provided by the App should not replace professional medical advice.

Nutritional estimates from photo recognition are approximations and may not be accurate for all foods. Always verify nutritional information for critical dietary needs.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the App, including photos, progress images, and personal data. By submitting content, you grant Grove a license to use, process, and store this content to provide and improve our services.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you submit and that your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
  • Upload malicious code or interfere with App functionality
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Use the App to collect information about other users without consent
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of the App may require a paid subscription. Subscription terms, pricing, and billing cycles are presented at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Refunds are handled according to the policies of the app store through which you purchased the subscription (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GROVE AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
